Smoking meat isn’t easy, it’s hard to keep lit. Mahogany Smoke Meats located on the north side of Highway 395 in Bishop, across from the Chevron, has been serving the finest smoked meats and jerky since 1922 -- when the owner known only as “Wally” slept in the back of the store. The façade has not changed much since those early days and neither has the quality of the meat.

These folks are dedicated to providing the highest quality meat for your pleasure. Come in for some meat or a sandwich.

Mahogany Smoked Meats is the place to go for thick slabs of bacon you have to slice yourself like Gramma used to. There’s smoked hams, pork chops, turkeys and sausages. It also has one of the largest jerky selections anywhere featuring turkey, elk, buffalo and wild boar and ahi and salmon.

The sandwiches are made with the same meat offered in the meat case and is worth the stop just for linch.

The place is easy to find, especially on the weekends, when the big parking lot fills with smokes meat lovers.

Meats can be shipped to anywhere in the state. Open 7 days a week, for more information, call
